A Simple Scenario

The West doesn’t have a sense of crisis. Putin is old and his senior generals hawky. Let me show you a simple scenario. Say, Russia attacks Hokkaido. US will not protect Japan. Even if they do, they are not strong enough to protect Japan from afar. The best bet? US will persuade their allies in Europe to launch a strike against Moscow directly. Russia may let China take care of the eastern side while they focus on the western side. The probability is high that both Russia and China will lose, but they won’t, because they will simply nuke. The war will last about 10 years, a rough estimate, but will come to a truce inevitably. The question is, who will gain more? If both Russia and China are tough negotiators and will never cede the conquered territories, the outcome may favor them.

Of course, this is way too bold. But, if Russia attacks, is there any other way out?

Putin is trying to be a good guy. Join him, lest he think too much about what he could do.

“Why would China join Russia in World War III?” you ask. Well, China will not have a choice. If China joins the West and the war comes to a truce, China may lose more than 50% of its territory to Russia. No, they will not have a choice. You have to forgive China.

About Run Song

Run Song (宋闰) is my pen name for the Moments of Poetry, a collection of poems about the greatest moments of life. If photography captures the greatest moments of life, poetry is the life behind them.
